The country famous for Ceylon tea (it’s former name), Sri Lanka has become one of the most go to places for travellers. And with it providing so much history, stunning scenery, wildlife, gorgeous beaches and not to mention some tip top tea, it is no surprise.

The most recent history of a civil war lasting 26 years meant that the country really was a no go area until 2010, but really over the last few years tourism has really ramped up. We were lucky enough to explore much of the country on our honeymoon, and so here are some of our best tips on what you should do and maybe what to miss.

Although you could really spend a couple of weeks exploring Sri Lanka, we’d definitely recommend spending at least a month if you can!
